Amazing fast food wraps, get the health kick quick...

... Yeah Baby!

Introducing Collard wraps. Here´s a quick recipe feel free to play with it, there is a thousand variations, and yes you can expect more from me!

Grab all this...

  • 4 large collard leaves (maybe one spare in case you tear)

  • 1 bell pepper (I like red or yellow)

  • 1 Avocado

  • ½ a lemon

  • 1 cup raw nuts, Cashew if you like creamy. Walnut if you like the sour. Pecan if you like the crunch...

  • 1 tablespoon of tamari (It´s soy sauce but it´s gluten free basically)

  • ½ tsp of ground turmeric root

  • ½ tsp of grated ginger.

  • ½ tsp of crushed garlic.

  • Cayenne pepper to taste.

  • 1 tsp of extra virgin olive oil. If it´s summer and your kitchens not too cold you can use coconut oil.

  • 1 handful of sprouts of any denomination for this I like alfalfa but you can mix it up a bit, maybe even onion? Up to you...

  1. Start with your leaves. Wash them well and cut off at the stem. Place them in a bowl of warm water with splash of lemon juice or alternatively a spoon of cider vinegar.

  2. Dry the leaves and then lightly slice down their centre to make them more malleable, this way they bend to your every whim and command, have fun with them you have a spare you can use as filling.

  3. Get slicing your other veggies, the avocado and the pepper can be sliced in thin strips to make it easier to roll. Don´t forget to lemon you avocado for flavour and to avoid the brown mushy nonsense.

  4. Get all of your ingredients except the sprouts in a bowl and mix them up all up, give the avocados a good bash so they´re not mashed but softened and clinging to all the other yumminess. Be firm but fair!

  5. Get your leaf and lay out in what, wangle the angle perfect for you, spoon a goo dollop of our mix shape it out add the sprouts, spice it if you like it and roll that bad boy up. You can fold in the end in like a fajita or just go rogue and risk an open end.

I don´t always add salt due to sodium´s naughty little trick of attracting water and causing retention, but you could put in Himalayan if you wanted to it's marvelous mineral magic.

Also get some cracked black pepper on that beast. Pepper helps turmeric’s absorbency levels sky rocket and the anti-inflammatory effect of that magic yellow slug are well worth it.

Get involved, get creative!

Enjoy!!!
